St. Louis has a huge St. Patrick’s Day celebration, as does New York, Boston, Chicago and South Bend Indiana among other cities. If you own a restaurant, bar, other establishment that celebrates the holiday, or if you’re going to have your own party on Saturday March 17, why not plan ahead for the big day by buying plenty of Smarty’s light up Green Light Cubes! They are a huge hit at any party and they really do keep drinks cold if you freeze them ahead of time.
Once they arrive, wash in soapy warm water, rinse, dry and freeze. When you are ready for them, place them in a pilsner glass, mug of beer, or add them to cocktails and beverages to make them glow green. This is so much cooler than using green dye in your beverages (that can turn your teeth green by the way)! Add a green runner and some shamrock decorations (or the actual plants), beads, and some other green or even “green” eco-friendly items, corned beef and cabbage or my favorite- Reuben sandwiches, snacks and drinks and you’ll have yourself a fantastic party!
