Mimosas in their pure form are near perfection, but this mimosa recipe kicks brunch bliss up to brilliance! Introducing a grapefruit mint mimosa complete with floral garnish. Whether you’re planning an engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party, Mother’s Day or even a wedding brunch, the grapefruit mint mimosa makes a stunning signature drink. Pair these mimosas with black chevron cocktail napkins and you’ll create a marvelously chic look!
This mimosa recipe is our favorite for two reasons. One: We LOVE our stemless champagne flutes! Two: The combination of the grapefruit color, mint, and floral garnish is screaming, “Serve me at your next event!” The floral garnish trend has really taken off and we can’t think of a better place for it to make an appearance at your event than in these mimosas! The edible flowers we used are dianthus, which we chose for their dainty petals and pop of vibrant color. Dianthus have a sweet and spicy scent, with a flavor similar to cloves. We didn’t eat the flowers, we just used them for a garnish. If you do try edible flowers, be sure to use organic flowers that have not been sprayed with pesticides.
What you need:
- 1 bottle of champagne
- 1 bottle of grapefruit juice
- fresh mint leaves
- dianthus for floral garnish – be sure to use organic flowers that have not been sprayed with pesticides
- Crush mint leaves in a stemless champagne flute.
- Pour champagne and fill flute halfway.
- Top off with grapefruit juice.
- Garnish with a flower.
Stemless champagne flutes are 10 oz. versus standard champagne flutes that are 5 oz. If you are using stemless flutes like we did, this recipe will make six mimosas.
Our White Rectangular Plastic Wave Tray will conveniently (and beautifully) serve six mimosas!
