As younger couples start to begin thinking about marriage, many are looking for alternatives to the traditional church affair. From paintball games to bungee jumping, betrothed men and women are finding unique ways to celebrate their nuptials in front of friends and family.
According to The Press-Enterprise in Southern California, wine country weddings have exploded in popularity over the past five years or so. Couples are smitten with the notion of saying "I do" atop a majestic hill or inside an intimate barrel room. It doesn't hurt that the wine literally comes from here either!
"It's not so much just a venue location for the wedding guests, it's an actual experience for their guests," Kenna Krivacsy, an event coordinator for one wine cellar, told the news source.
Many of these wineries are able to accommodate huge groups of people, so couples won't need to cut down the guest list to have the venue of their dreams. The average price per person ranges from $75 to $200 a person, depending on what the engaged couple is looking for.
